To erect a DIY marquee you will need:

• An area 12m/8m/6m long by 6m wide for the marquee to go on (slightly more than 6m wide during usual method of erecting)
• At least 3 fit and able people to erect the marquee (it is possible with two strong people but more hands make light work)
• Tools: A stepladder or something to stand on for attaching the lining; a hammer; a knife to open the boxes.
• Ability to follow easy furniture-assembly style instructions.
