Frequently Asked Questions on DIY Marquees

marquees

I've never put up a marquee before. Is it hard? No. It's actually very easy, and 3 people can do it in about 4 hours (3 hours with experience). You'll need a stepladder for the linings and a hammer.
I'd really like to have purple or lilac in my wedding marquee, is it possible? Yes, but as discussed in our marquee colour schemes section be wary of having too many colour sources. All of our marquee exteriors are plain white, the interior lining can be white or ivory. If you want to have a coloured pelmet or coloured curtains we can make them but there will be an additional charge (contact us to discuss exact costs).
How much space does it take up when collapsed? The largest object is the PVC roof, it comes in a box 690mm x 600mm x 270mm but once used it will take up around twice that. The poles are 2m long and lightweight –stood in a corner they don't take up too much space. The remaining parts (walls, windows and metalwork knuckles) are smaller so can be put on shelves or stacked in a corner.
I'm still not sure how to put up a marquee. Do you offer a training day ? No, our marquees are so easy to put up there simply isn't the demand. Sorry.
Have you got details of any more layouts? None of the ones on your website seem right for me. No problem, send us the details of what you'd like in your marquee and we'll design some examples for you.
